Habitat & Tank Requirements

Natural Habitat: Green Banded Gobies come from shallow Caribbean and Western Atlantic reefs where they live among rubble, corals, and rock crevices. They prefer sheltered, calm areas with plenty of structure.

Tank Environment:
• Provide rockwork with caves, small holes, and branching corals for perching
• Fine sand or mixed substrate
• Gentle to moderate flow to allow comfortable hovering and movement

Diet & Feeding

Green Banded Gobies are carnivores that feed on tiny crustaceans and plankton in the wild. In home aquariums, they readily accept small foods suited for nano fish.

Recommended Foods:
• Mysis shrimp (finely chopped)

• Copepods
• Small frozen zooplankton
• High-quality nano pellets or micro-flakes

Feeding Schedule: Feed 1–2 times daily. Offer very small amounts to ensure they receive food without competition from larger tankmates.
