- Very peaceful temperament; compatible with virtually all community fish.
- Less territorial than most other blennies; can sometimes be kept in pairs in larger tanks.
- A secure aquarium lid is essential; excellent jumpers.
- More active and visible than typical bottom-dwelling blennies.
- May school with yellow tangs, anthias, or other similarly colored fish.
- Generally hardy once acclimated but may be shy initially without dither fish.
- Color may fade slightly if the diet lacks variety or carotenoids.

Our midas blenny is an absolute delight. He is my wife’s favorite fish, and for good reason. He lays down on his rock perch all day, has a little “doghouse” that he sleeps in, and spits sand all through the air when he is feeling feisty. This is one fish that should be in any saltwater aquarium!!

Our absolute favorite fish! Full of personality. Loves perching on his rock and watching everything. Gets along with everyone in the tank. Swims around and then perches on his rock like he is thinking and then jumps up to swim around again. Backs into his little hole in the rock to sleep. Super fun to watch. Super healthy. Dr Reef dedicated customer. Always great fish!
