Dr. Reef’s Safe, Healthy Fish
Order by request (We can get any fish you want)
Home of Quarantined fish and inverts. Its a special arrangement as quarantine is best done in smaller batches.
Dr Reef
Quarantined Fish is a Hobby turned into business. We specialize in conditioned and quarantined fish. All orders are by request. I may have a few very common and fast selling fish on hand that maybe conditioned and quarantined but for most part, by requests only.
Most of you may know me from different online reef forums as Dr. Reef.
A Commitment to Health
As we all know most fish sold now a days in the market (LFS or Online) are wild caught and some tank raised. Most wild caught fish carry parasites and diseases naturally found in the oceans. Most wholesalers and retailers dont have the time or put in effort to do such procedures on mass levels and honestly is not possible to QT such large number of fish at same time thus it has to be done on request basis and on much smaller levels.
Wholesalers and Retailers are fish motels, imported/caught fish checks in and checks out.
Quarantine Procedure
Requested fish is administered with Prazipro and Metrozidole and fed food soaked in Fish Bendazole.
Then its treated for the most common types of diseases/parasites (Ich/Velvet, Uronema and Brook) using
Chloroquine Phosphate or Copper Power.
There are many clients and hobbyist that want to quarantine their own fish or maybe they don’t quarantine at all, So we have a cheaper option for them to buy livestock. We buy from wholesalers every week and can get any fish you like. We may have a few fish left over from previous orders or some fast moving fish, otherwise all orders are by request.
As hobbyist know this is a special arrangement and not an easy one, so naturally the cost is a bit higher. I buy from several wholesalers. I am not in it for profits but more to help hobbyist carry/raise healthy fish and reef.
I will buy the fish at wholesale price and then treat according to requested level of care and add a small fee for my efforts and time. Please contact us at quarantinedfish@gmail.com
